The Irish National Disability Strategy Implementation Plan 2013-16 highlighted the ability to travel independently as a key barrier to accessing educational opportunities. One of the goals of inclusive education is to bolster the education of all students by investing in sufficient support, curriculum and pedagogy that cultivates independence and inclusion.
